Allojenik Kök Hücre Nakliyle İlişkili BK Virüs-Hemorajik Sistit

Abstract

Allojenik kök hücre nakli (AKHN) yapılan hastalarda BK virüsü hemorajik sistiti (BKV-HS), potansiyel bir morbidite ve mortalite nedenidir. BKV reaktivasyonu, asemptomatik viral enfeksiyondan hemorajik sistit veya nefrite kadar değişen farklı sorunlara neden olabilir. Ayrıca, uzun süre hastanede kalışa neden olabilir. Özellikle, hematopoietik kök hücre nakli alıcılarında egrafman sonrası gelişen akut hemorajik sistitin BK virüsü ile ilişkili olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu derlemede, AKHN uygulanan hastalarda görülebilecek BKV-HS’ in önemine dikkat çekilmekte, hemşirelerin bu hasta grubunda BKV ile ilişkili hemorajik sistiti önleme ve yönetmedeki rolüne değinilmektedir.

BK Virus-Hemorrhagıc Cystitis Related To Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation

Abstract

BK virus-hemorrhagic cystitis (BKV-HC) is a potential cause of mortality and morbidity in patients having after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (ASCT). BKV reactivation may cause different problems ranging from asymptomatic viral infection to hemorrhagic cystitis or nephritis. It can also cause to stay a long term hospital. Especially HC following engraftment in hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients could be associated with BK virus. In this review, attention is drawn to the importance of BKV-HC, which can be seen in patients undergoing ASCT, and the role of nurses in preventing and managing BKV-related hemorrhagic cystitis in this patient group.
