                            <p>It is important to study possible artifact sources in non-contact photoplethysmography in order to use them as a cheaper alternative to pulse oximeters. Most of the work on noncontact heart rate estimation performed experiments with healthy volunteers and focused to solve motion artifacts. We performed experiments with patients in pediatric intensive care units and investigated whether hemoglobin level is a corruption factor or not in non-contact estimation of heart rate. Our previously reported heart rate estimation from face videos method is used. Our method involves a Wavelet Transform based denoising algorithm to reduce estimation errors. We did not observe a meaningful correlation between estimation errors and hemoglobin levels. Our results revealed that our method can provide acceptable accuracy to estimate mean heart rate of anemic patients</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Temassız fotopletismografinin oksimetrelere daha ucuz bir alternatif olarak kullanılabilmesi için olası hata kaynaklarının araştırılması önemlidir. Temassız nabız tahmini yapan çalışmaların pek çoğu sağlıklı gönüllüler üzerinde gerçekleştirmiş ve hareket kaynaklı sorunların çözümüne odaklanmıştır. Çalışmamızda çocuk yoğun bakım ünitesindeki hastalar ile deneyler gerçekleştirilmiş ve temassız nabız kestiriminde hemoglobin seviyesinin etkisinin olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Daha önce yayınladığımız yüz görüntülerinden nabız kestirimi yapan yöntem kullanılmıştır. Yöntem kestirim hatasını azaltmak için dalgacık dönüşümü tabanlı bir gürültü atma algoritması içermektedir. Kestirim hata oranları ile hemoglobin seviyeleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki gözlemlenmemiştir. Sonuçlar yöntemin, anemik hastaların ortalama nabız tahmininde kabul edilebilir doğruluk sağlayabileceğini göstermiştir</p></abstract>
