Fuzzy thinking, neutrosophic thinking, and related thinking in business management

Abstract

This paper examines several reasoning styles for business decision-making under uncertainty, including zero–one thinking, fuzzy thinking, neutrosophic thinking, Upside-Down Thinking, intuitive thinking, anti-intuitive thinking, fuzzy intuitive thinking, and neutrosophic critical thinking. For each reasoning style, we provide a precise logical definition, establish formal relationships showing how more expressive paradigms generalize simpler ones, and present concrete business examples, including credit scoring, inventory management, strategic project approval, supplier evaluation, pricing, and hiring.
