REPRESENT OF MECHANICAL PARTS USING STEP STANDARDS AT COMPUTER ENVIRONMENT

Öz

Currently, the development of Computer Aided Manufacturing systems is still a major field where extensive researches are being made. These researches suggest that there are certain problems with the full integration of CAD and CAM systems. These problems result from CAD system, fully automated Computer Aided Process Planning system and Computer Aided Manufacturing Interface. In recent years, the feature-based design approach in CAD systems has made an important progress and has supported to the integration of CAD/CAM systems. In this paper, the representation of a mechanical part having a hole and two steps with the feature-based design concept, using STEP standard format, has been handled in computer environment.

STEP STANDARTI KULLANARAK MEKANİK PARÇALARIN BİLGİSAYAR ORTAMINDA TEMSİL EDİLMESİ

Öz

Günümüzde Bilgisayarla Tümleşik İmalat Sistemlerinin geliştirilmesi hala üzerinde yoğun araştırmaların sürdürüldüğü önemli bir konudur. Araştırmalar Bilgisayar Destekli Tasarım (BDT) ile Bilgisayar Destekli Üretim (BDÜ) sistemlerinin tam olarak bütünleştirilmesinde birtakım eksikliklerin olduğunu göstermektedir. Bunlar; BDT sistemi, tam otomatik Bilgisayar Destekli İşlem Planlama (BDİP) sistemi ve BDÜ ara yüzü olarak sıralanabilir. Son yıllarda BDT sistemlerindeki özellik tabanlı tasarım yaklaşımı büyük bir gelişme göstererek BDT/BDÜ sistemlerinin bütünleşmesinde önemli bir fayda sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada özellik tabanlı tasarım kavramıyla üzerinde delik ve kademe özellikleri bulunan mekanik bir parçanın STEP standardı kullanılarak bilgisayar ortamında temsil edilmesi ele alınmıştır.
