Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the short -midterm functional results of mobile bearing total knee arthroplasty (MBTKA) in a patients population younger than 65 years old. Methods: Forty one patients younger than 65 years, who underwent MBTKA between 2002 and 2005 years were included in the study. They were followed-up for 30 months(18-48 months). Results: Postoperative mean knee score was 94 and pain score was 25. Of 41 patients, one patient was revised because of a deep infection nonresponsive to antibiotic treatment and another one because of bearing dislocation. When revision for any reason was considered as the ultimate, the implant survival was 95.45% at 30 months. Conclusion: When compared to the fixed bearing prostheses in the literature, mobile bearing total knee prostheses give comparable clinical results in individuals younger than 65 years in short -mid term
