D2-40 Immunreactivity In Colon Adenocarcinomas

Abstract

Aim: In the present study, the relationship between D2-40 immunoreactivity and tumor grade,clinic phase and lymph node metastase in colon adenocarcinomas were examined.Method: Sixty cases diagnosed with colon adenocarcinoma in our department between 2002and 2009 were included in the study. Sections from appropriate paraffin blocks belonging tothe cases were examined by D2-40 antibody immunohistochemical method.Findings: On the immunohistochemical examination, positive immunoreactivity with D2-40was found in 18 of 60 cases (30%). In the statistical analysis, no significant correlation wasdetermined between histologic grade (p:0,78), clinic phase (p:0,91), lymph node metastasis(p:0,56) and D2-40 immunoreactivity.Conclusion: No correlation was found between immunoreactivity with D2-40 and prognosticparameters. Yet, due to the fact that there are few studies in literature on immunoreactivity withD2-40 in tumor cells in colon adenocarcinomas, we believe that further studies are needed inthis subject

Kolon Adenokarsinomlarında D2-40 İmmünreaktivitesi

Abstract

Amaç: Çalışmamızda, kolon adenokarsinomlarında D2-40 immünreaktivitesi ile tümör grade’i,klinik evre ve lenf nodu metastazı arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır.Yöntem: Bu çalışmada 2002-2009 yılları arasında kliniğimizde kolon adenokarsinomu tanısıkonulan 60 olgu incelemeye alındı. Bu olgulara ait uygun parafin bloklardan yapılan kesitlereD2-40 antikoru immünohistokimyasal yöntemle çalışılmıştır.Bulgular: İmmünohistokimyasal inceleme sonucunda 60 olgunun 18’inde (%30) D2-40 ilepozitif immünreaktivite saptanmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analiz sonucunda histolojik grade(p:0,78), klinik evre (p:0,91) ve lenf nodu metastazı (p:0,56) ile D2-40 immünreaktivitesiarasında anlamlı bir ilişki izlenmemiştir.Sonuç: D2-40 immünreaktivitesi ile incelediğimiz prognostik parametreler arasında korelasyonbulunmamıştır. Ancak; literatürde kolon adenokarsinomlarında tümör hücrelerindekiimmünreaktiviteyi araştıran az sayıda çalışma olması nedeni ile bu konuda ileri çalışmalaraihtiyaç olduğu kanaatindeyiz
