The aim of this study was to evaluate theantibacterial effects of different self-etchingprimer/adhesives on Streptococcus mutans S.mutans , Lactobacillus acidophilus L. acidophilus and Lactobacillus casei L. casei . The antibacterial effects of Clearfil ProtectBond Primer, Adper Easy Bond and Xeno V weretested against standart strains of S. mutans, L. caseiand L. acidophilus using the disk diffusion method.Chlorhex was used as a positive control material,consisting of 2 % chlorhexidine. Standart filterpaper disks n=6 impregnated with 20 µl of eachmaterial were prepared. After incubation at 37°Cfor 48 hours, zones of inhibited bacterial growthwere measured in milimeters. Data were analyzedusing ANOVA, Friedman test and Kruskal-Wallistest. The difference between antibacterial effect ofthe tested material groups were statistically significant for each bacterial strains p < 0,05 . Theresults indicated that Clearfil Protect Bond Primerhad the strongest effect against the S. mutans andL. casei, and Xeno V produced the largest inhibition zone for L. acidophilus among the test materials. Clearfil Protect Bond Primer was showed anantibacterial effect closest to chlorhexidine for S.Mutans and L. Casei Clearfil Protect Bond and Xeno V showed different levels of antibacterial effect.
Bu çalışmanın amacı farklı self-etching adezivsistemlerin antibakteriyel etkilerinin, Streptococcus mutans S. mutans , Lactobacillus acidophilus L. acidophilus ve Lactobacillus casei L. casei bakterileri üzerinde değerlendirilmesidir.Clearfil Protect Bond Primer, Adper EasyBond ve Xeno V self-etching adeziv materyallerininantibakteriyel etkileri, S. mutans, L. casei and L.acidophilus standart suşlarında disk difüzyon yöntemi kullanılarak test edilmiştir. % 2’lik klorheksidin içeren Klorhex pozitif kontrol materyaliolarak kullanılmıştır. Her materyalden 20 µlemdirilmiş steril kağıt diskler n=6 hazırlanmış,37°C de 48 saat inkübasyondan sonra diskler etrafında oluşan inhibisyon zonları milimetre olarakölçülmüştür. Sonuçların istatistiksel değerlendirmeleri ANOVA, Friedman ve Kruskal-Wallis testleri kullanılarak yapılmıştır.Test edilen materyal gruplarının antibakteriyel etkinlikleri arasındaki fark, her bakteri suşuiçin istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur p
