Esthetic Approaches via Orthodontics and Conservative Dentistry Cooperation: Two Case Reports

Today, people especially young adolescentsare paying more attention to their appearance everbefore and their teeth are a key element in their personal appearance. Due to continuous developmentof adhesive dentistry over 25 years, their needs canbe met simply and economically. Modern adhesivetechniques are now used to add restorative materials to the tooth for the correction of unaesthetictooth forms, tooth positions, dimensions, colors,and to close diastemata, to build out peg-shaped laterals and to change the tooth form of elements withan abnormal anatomical position. This clinicalreport describes two interdisciplinary approachesfor the coordinated treatment of two patients diagnosed with peg-shaped lateral incisors/missing lateral incisors, diastemata and orthodontic malocclusion. A coordinated treatment, including orthodontic movement, periodontal surgery for lengthening of the clinical crown and direct compositerestorations was managed. Thus, the patients’ specific expectations for the anterior maxilla were successfully met without any invasive treatment protocol

ORTODONTİ-KONSERVATİF TEDAVİ İŞBİRLİĞİ İLE ESTETİK YAKLAŞIMLAR İKİ OLGU NEDENİYLE

Öz

Günümüzde, özellikle genç erişkinlergörünümlerine çok önem vermektedirler ve dişler,kişisel görünümlerinde kilit bir rol oynamaktadır.Son 25 yılda devamlı gelişim gösteren adeziv dişhekimliği de bu estetik ihtiyaçlar› hem basit hem de ekonomik olarak karş›layabilmektedir. Günümüzde modern adeziv teknikler, estetik olmayan diş formlar›n›n, boyutlar›n›n ve renklerinin düzeltilmesini sağlamak amac›yla restoratif malzemelerin direkt olarak diş yap›s›na yap›şt›r›lmas›n› sağlamaktad›r. Kompozit rezinler ayn› zamanda diastema kapat›lmas›, kama veya eksik yan kesici dişlerin düzeltimesi amac›yla da diş yap›s›na direkt olarak eklenebilir. Bu vaka raporu, malokluzyonla beraber eksik/kama şeklinde yan kesici dişleri olan iki hastan›n ortodonti ve konservatif tedavi işbirliği ile estetik ve fonksiyonel rehabilitasyonunu anlatmaktad›r. Başar›l› bir şekilde ortodontik tedavi, periodontal cerrahi ve direkt kompozit rezin uygulanmas›n› içeren koordine bir tedavi yap›lm›şt›r. Bu şekilde, hastalar›n üst öndişleri için estetik beklentileri invaziv bir tedavi uygulamas›na gerek kalmadan başar›yla sağlanm›şt›r.
