Bu araştırma, histerektomi ameliyatı olan ve ameliyat olduktan sonraki yaşamlarına yönelik eğitim yapılan hastaların, evde bakımlarına yönelik bilgi düzeylerini saptamak amacıyla, betimleyici olarak planlanmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, İzmir Dr. Ekrem Hayri Üstündağ Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Hastanesi Jinekoloji Servisinde, 01 Haziran 2002 – 30 Ağustos 2002 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Araştırma örneklemini; histerektomi ameliyatı olan, araştırmaya katılmayı gönüllü kabul eden, iletişim kurulabilen ve ameliyat sonrası dönemde taburculuk eğitimi verilen 31 hasta oluşturmaktadır. Eğitimde birebir görüşme tekniği kullanılmış ve eğitim sonunda hastalara eğitim kitapçığı verilmiştir. Araştırmada; sosyo-demografik özelliklerin belirlenmesi için 12 soruluk tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve bilgi düzeylerini ölçmek için 20 soruluk ön-test ve son-test anket formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler SPSS Statistical Package of Social Science for Windows 10.0 istatistik paket programında değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda; eğitim düzeyi düşük olan hastaların histerektomi ameliyatı ve evde bakım konusunda daha az bilgiye sahip oldukları ve eğitim düzeyi yükseldikçe bilgi puan ortalamalarının düzenli olarak yükseldiği saptanmıştır. Histerektomi ameliyatı olan hastalara özellikle hemşireler tarafından bilgi verilmesi önerilmektedir
This is an analytic descriptive study carried out to determine the level of home care and daily life knowledge of the people who have had hysterectomy operation. The research was carried out at İzmir Dr. Ekrem Hayri Üstündağ Gynecology and Obstetric Hospital. The Gynecologic Clinic data were gathered between June 01, 2002 and August 30, 2002. The samples of the study were of 31 patients who were communicable, took part in the study voluntarily, and have had Hysterectomy Operation. The patients were given post-operative discharge education. In the patients' education, interview technique was used and they were given a booklet. In this research a Demonstrative Information Form, which consisted of 12 questions, was used to find out the socio-demographic features of the patients, and their level of knowledge. A pre and final survey tests, which consisted of 20 questions, were applied. The data obtained were evaluated with SPSS Statistical Package of Social Science for windows 10.0 software package. After the analysis of the test results, it was found that the patients who had poor educational background had less information about hysterectomy operation and home care. It was also found out that the patients who had better educational background had higher information scores. It is suggested that information on hysterectomy operation should be given to the patients by the nurse
