This study was conducted to examine the relationship between posttraumatic growth and life satisfaction in women with special needs children. This descriptive study was conducted at Inonu University Foundation Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre affiliated with the Ministry of Education in an eastern province of Turkey between June 2019 and September 2019. No sample was selected in the study and all of the mothers of 53 children attending Inonu University Foundation Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre were reached. In the study, it was determined that women who received support in the care of a child with special needs had higher posttraumatic growth and life satisfaction. A positive correlation was found between posttraumatic growth and life satisfaction. It is seen that having a child with special needs not only creates trauma for women, but also helps them grow, and that this growth also positively affects their life satisfaction.
