                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışma, Akdeniz Üniversitesi&#039;ne bağlı farklı ilçelerde konumlanan meslek yüksekokulu yerleşkelerinin termal etkilerini, uzaktan algılama temelli Arazi Yüzey Sıcaklığı (LST) verileri aracılığıyla analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında ele alınan yerleşkeler, Antalya’nın farklı iklimsel, topoğrafik ve mekânsal özelliklere sahip ilçelerine dağılmış olup, her bir yerleşke için sınırın çevresinde bir tampon zon oluşturularak analiz alanı belirlenmiştir. Yüzey sıcaklığı verileri, 2024 yılı yaz mevsimine ait Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS uydu görüntülerinden türetilmiştir. Meslek yüksekokulu yerleşkeleri, çevreleri ve araştırma alanlarına ait istatistiksel LST değerleri Zonal Statistics aracı kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, dört yerleşkenin –0,25 °C ile –1,32 °C aralığında değişen serinletici termal etki oluşturduğunu, beş yerleşkenin ise +0,27 °C ile +1,81 °C arasında değişen ısıtıcı termal etki sergilediğini ortaya koymuştur. Bir yerleşke ise çevresine göre belirgin bir artış veya azalış göstermeyerek nötr bir termal özellik taşımaktadır. Yerleşkeler arasındaki bu farklılaşma, büyük ölçüde arazi örtüsü bileşenleri, geçirgen yüzey oranı, bitki örtüsü yoğunluğu ve yapılaşma düzeninin oluşturduğu mikroklimatik koşullara bağlı olarak değişkenlik göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, Antalya’daki meslek yüksekokulu yerleşkelerinin çevreleri üzerinde serinletici, ısıtıcı veya nötr nitelikte değişen termal etkiler ürettiği belirlenmiştir. Çevresine kıyasla daha yüksek yüzey sıcaklığına sahip yerleşkelerde, peyzaj düzenlemeleri yoluyla yeşil örtünün artırılması ve geçirgen yüzeylerin güçlendirilmesi, bölgesel yüzey sıcaklıklarını düşürerek serinletici bir mikroklima oluşturabilecek etkili bir strateji olarak değerlendirilebilir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>This study aims to analyze the thermal effects of vocational school campuses located in different districts affiliated with Akdeniz University using Land Surface Temperature (LST) data based on remote sensing. The campuses included in the study are scattered across districts of Antalya with different climatic, topographic, and spatial characteristics. For each campus, an analysis area was defined by creating a buffer zone around its perimeter. Surface temperature data were derived from Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS satellite images from the summer season of 2024. Statistical LST values for vocational school campuses and their surroundings were obtained using the Zonal Statistics tool. The findings revealed that four campuses created a cooling thermal effect ranging from -0.25 °C to -1.32 °C, while five campuses exhibited a heating thermal effect ranging from +0.27 °C to +1.81 °C. One settlement exhibited neutral thermal properties, showing no significant increase or decrease relative to its surroundings. This differentiation between campuses varies largely depending on microclimatic conditions created by land cover components, permeable surface ratio, vegetation density, and building layout. As a result, it has been determined that the surroundings of vocational school campuses in Antalya produce varying thermal effects that are cooling, heating, or neutral in nature. In campuses with higher surface temperatures compared to their surroundings, increasing green cover and enhancing permeable surfaces through landscaping can be considered an effective strategy to create a cooling microclimate by lowering regional surface temperatures.</p></trans-abstract>
