Acute maxillary sinusitis infection with Burkholderia cepacia in a noncystic fibrosis patient should be considered as a potential differential diagnosis to attempt to eradicate the infection owing to its morbidity. We report a case of 52-year-old female with orbital cellulitis and acute maxillary sinusitis due to B. cepacia. The combined management with intravenous antibiotics and surgical debridement of the sinuses helped in eradication of the infection. The main purpose of presenting this article is the rarity of species occurring in maxillary sinus without cystic fibrosis or nasal
polyps.
