                            <p>Biyosürfektanlar bakteri, maya ve funguslar tarafından hücre zarında sentezlenen ve hücre dışına salınan sürfektanlardır. Hidrofobik kirleticilerin çözünebilirliliğini ve biyolojik olarak parçalanmasını artırmaktadır Emülsiyon özelliklerinden dolayı gıda, kozmetik, eczacılık, petrol endüstrisi ve çevre teknolojileri gibi ticari alanlarda kullanılmaktadır. Endüstride biyosürfektanların birçok özelliklerinden yararlanılmasına rağmen onların antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri üzerine yeterince çalışma bulunmamaktadır. Bunun yanında biyosürfektanlar probiyotik madde, patojen mikroorganizmaların yüzeylere yapışmasını engelleme, birçok hastalığın iyileştirilmesi ve tedavisinde kullanılmaktadır. Bunun yanında bazı biyosürfektanların antibakteriyel, antifungal, antiviral aktiviteye sahip olduğu belirtilmiştir. Bu araştırma yazımızda biyosürfektanların mikroorganizmalara karşı yeni antimikrobiyal aktiviteleri ve sağlık alanındaki potansiyel uygulama alanları sunulmuştur.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Biosurfactants are surfactants that are produced extracellulary or as part of the cell membrane by bacteria, yeast and fungi. This enhances the solubility of hydrophobic pollutants, thus increasing their potential for biodegradation. The main commercial use of biosurfactants is oil industry, foods, cosmetics, pharmacology and environmental technology because of their ability to stabilize emulsions. One useful property of many biosurfactants that has not been reviewed extensively is their antimicrobial activity. Other medically relevant uses of biosurfactants include their role as anti-adhesive agents to pathogens, making them useful for treating many diseases and as therapeutic and probiotic agents.
