                            <p>In this study, the amounts of vitamin A, vitamin E, beta-carotene, lycopene as well as reduced glutathione (GSH) and oxidized glutathione (GSSG) in the fruits of Viburnum opulus L. were determined by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography. The amounts of vitamin A, vitamin E, β-carotene, lycopene, GSH and GSSG in the fruits of Viburnum opulus L. of same kind which are grown in Bünyan, Develi and Melikgazi towns of Kayseri were observed to change between 0.10±0.01 - 0.24±0.03 µg/g; 0.96±0.12 - 14.38±1.58 µg/g; 3.27±0.23 - 6.52±0.70 µg/g; 2.89 ± 0.30 - 10.95±1.10 µg/g; 206.78±13.24 - 334.75±16.81 µg/g and 19.16±1.57 - 23.40±3.38 µg/g, respectively. Although, βcarotene, lycopene and GSH are significantly important for a healthy diet, high levels of GSSG is undesirable. In this case, according to our findings, nutritionally the most useful fruits of Viburnum opulus L. are of the areas of Melikgazi, Develi and Bünyan, respectively.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Bu çalışmada, Gilaburu (Viburnum Opulus L.) meyvelerindeki A, E vitamini, beta-karoten, likopen, redükte ve okside glutatyon miktarları Yüksek Performanslı Sıvı Kromatografisi (HPLC) ile belirlendi. Kayserinin Bünyan, Develi ve Melikgazi ilçelerinde yetişen Gilaburu meyvelerindeki A, E vitamini, beta-karoten, likopen, redükte ve okside glutatyon miktarları sırasıyla 0.10±0.01 - 0.24±0.03 mg/g; 0.96±0.12 - 14.38±1.58 mg/g; 3.27±0.23 - 6.52±0.70 mg/g; 2.89±0.30 - 10.95±1.10 mg/g; 206.78±13.24 - 334.75±16.81 mg/g ve 19.16±1.57 - 23.40±3.38 mg/g arasında değiştiği gözlendi. Vitaminler, β-karoten, likopen ve GSH sağlıklı beslenme için oldukça önemli iken, GSSG miktarının yüksek olması ise istenmeyen bir durumdur. Bu durumda, beslenme açısından bulgularımıza göre en yararlı gilaburu meyvesinin sırasıyla Melikgazi, Develi ve Bünyan bölgesinin oldukları söylenebilir.</p></abstract>
