INVESTIGATION OF GYNECOLOGICAL CANCER AWARENESS OF UFUK UNIVERSITY WOMEN'S EMPLOYEES

Öz

Objectives: With this study, it is aimed to investigate the gynecological cancer awareness of Ufuk University staff.
Methods: Women aged 20-65 working at Ufuk University were included in the research. “Participant Information Form”, two “Questionnaires” on obstetric and gynecological features and gynecological features of participants and Gynecological Cancers Awareness Scale were used in the collection of the data. The data were evaluated using SPSS 24 package program. For the analysis of the data, number, percentage, average and standard deviation calculations and Chi Square test were used. The significance level was taken as 0.05.
Results: 49.5 % of the women were health personnel, 67.6 % of them were university graduates and average age of women was 33.42±9.97. Women's scores from Gynecological Cancers Awareness Scale according to their profession groups were following; academic staff 157.05±21.42, administrative staff 150.94±27.28, helathcare staff 159.96±24.2 and no statistical differences was found between these scale scores (F= 1.441, p>0,05).
Conclucions: Gynecological cancer awareness of Ufuk University staff was found high. the lowest awareness score was belonged to administrative staff.

UFUK ÜNİVERSİTESİ KADIN ÇALIŞANLARININ JİNEKOLOJİK KANSER FARKINDALIĞININ İNCELENMESİ

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışma ile Ufuk Üniversitesi personelinin jinekolojik kanser farkındalığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Yöntem: Araştırmaya Ufuk Üniversitesi’nde çalışan 20-65 yaş arasındaki kadınlar dahil edilmiştir. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında, literatür araştırması sonucunda geliştirilen, bireylere yönelik sosyo-demografik, obstetrik ve jinekolojik özelliklere ilişkin soruları içeren anket formu ve Jinekolojik Kanserler Farkındalık Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 24 paket programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde sayı, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, Ki Kare testi kullanılmıştır. Anlamlılık seviyesi olarak 0,05 olarak alınmıştır.
Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan kadınların %49.5’ü sağlık personeli, %67.6’sı üniversite mezunu ve yaş ortalamaları 33.42±9.97’dir. Kadınların meslek gruplarına göre Jinekolojik Kanserler Farkındalık Ölçeğinden aldıkları puanlar; akademik personel 157.05±21.42, idari personel 150.94±27.28, sağlık personelinin aldığı puan 159.96±24.27 şeklinde olup meslek grupları arasında ölçek toplam puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmamıştır (F= 1.441, p>0,05).
Sonuç: Bu araştırma sonucunda Ufuk Üniversitesi personelinin jinekolojik kanser farkındalığının yüksek olduğu ve en düşük farkındalık puanının idari personele ait olduğu saptanmıştır.
