Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most prevalent muscle disorders in society, characterized by onset primarily in the upper extremities and progression throughout the entire body. The management of the disease involves the utilization of pharmacological, conservative, and surgical approaches. However, due to the unclear pathophysiology of the condition, conflicting perspectives exist among current treatment modalities. Consequently, the aim of this article is to identify potential therapeutic options for individuals with FSHD and to examine the effects of these methods on patients, given the current ambiguity surrounding the pathophysiology of the disease.
</trans-abstract>
