AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Publication Policy, Open Access and Free Submission Statement
Fundamentals of Contemporary Mathematical Sciences (FCMS) is open access journal and all the manuscripts published in FCMS is freely available online for anyone. There are no subscription or submission charges. FCMS operate under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License. This allows for the reproduction of articles free of charge with the appropriate citation information. All authors publishing with FCMS accept these as the terms of publication.
Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the Web page of Fundamentals of Contemporary Mathematical Sciences (FCMS) through the online system at:
https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/fcmathsci
You will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of the various files. Manuscripts must be prepared in FCMS LaTeX format and must be submitted the PDF file of the paper.
Authors should certify that neither the manuscript nor its main contents have already been published or submitted for publication in another journal. Papers are accepted for publication on the understanding that they have not been published and are not going to be considered for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts may be rejected without peer review by the editors if they do not comply with the instructions to authors or if they are beyond the scope of the journal. After a manuscript has been accepted for publication, i.e. after referee-recommended revisions are complete, the author will not be permitted to make any changes that constitute departures from the manuscript that was accepted by the editor. Before publication, the galley proofs are always sent to the authors for corrections. Mistakes or omissions that occur due to some negligence on our part during final printing will be rectified in an errata section in a later issue. This does not include those errors left uncorrected by the author in the galley proof.
Plagiarism
The use of someone else's ideas or words in their original form or slightly changed without a proper citation is considered plagiarism and will not be tolerated. Even if a citation is given, if quotation marks are not placed around words taken directly from another author's work, the author is still guilty of plagiarism. Reuse of the author's own previously published words, with or without a citation, is regarded as self-plagiarism. All manuscripts received are submitted to iThenticate®, a sophisticated plagiarism checking system and similarity rate can not be more than thirty five percent (%35) in plagiarism report.
Only one article can be published by an author in the same issue.
Manuscript Evaluation Process
Following pre-review process handled by Editor or Co-Editor, manuscripts which conform to journal scope and style will be sent to at least two reviewers by the Field Editor. If manuscripts do not comply with the author guideline or are beyond the scope of the journal, those may be rejected without peer review by the Editor or Co-Editor. All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-reviewed process. You can follow the details of our referee processes from the FCMS Manuscript Evaluation Process Workflow (Please click for the FCMS Workflow).
Preparation of Manuscript
Style and Format
Manuscripts should be written in English. The system will ask the author(s) to upload the PDF file of the paper. The LaTeX source-file(s) will be needed after the submitted paper has been accepted for publication in the FCMS. The TeX source-file should be prepared in a FCMS LaTeX format (Please click for the FCMS Template File). Manuscripts can not to exceed 20 printed pages. The correspondence author takes responsibility for the paper during submission and peer review. If it is necessary all abbreviations and acronyms should be defined at first mention.
Manuscript Content
Research articles should be divided into the following sections. Principal sections should be numbered consecutively (1. Introduction, 2. Preliminaries, 3. Main Results, etc.) and subsections should be numbered 1.1., 1.2., etc.
Title and Contact Information
The first page should contain the full title in sentence case the full names (last names fully capitalised), affiliations (Department, Faculty, University, City, Country) and ORCID numbers (Authors can visit https://orcid.org to get a unique 16-digit ORCID number) of all authors and the contact e-mail address for the clearly identified corresponding author and all other authors.
Abstract
The manuscript should contain an abstract with not exceed 300 words. The abstract should be clear and citation-free.
Keywords
Please provide at least three, at most five keywords or phrases to enable retrieval and indexing.
Acknowledgements (If any)
Names of funding organisations or thanks should be written.
Tables and Figures
Tables should be cited consecutively in the text. Every table must have a descriptive title and if numerical measurements are given, the units should be included in the column heading. Tables should be simple with simple borders and text written as left side.
Each figure can be integrated in the paper body or separately uploaded and should be cited in a consecutive order. Figure widths can be 4-6 inch as 300 dpi.
The labels of the tables and the figures should be clear and informative. The labels are position to below of the figures and to above of the tables.
Declaration of Ethical Standards
The authors declare that the materials and methods used in their study do not require ethical committee and/or legal special permission.
Authors' Contributions
Authors must specify the contribution of each author of their manuscript. There are five types of contributions: Conceived and designed the analysis, Collected the data, Contributed the data or analysis tools, Performed the analysis, Wrote the manuscript. For each author of the manuscript, please write clearly the types of contributions the author has made. An author may have made one or more than one type of contribution. For example,
Author 1: Collected the data, Contributed the data or analysis tools (%60)
Author 2: Conceived and designed the analysis, Contributed the data or analysis tools, Wrote the paper (%40)
The sum of the author contribution rates should be 100.
Conflict of Interest
There is no conflict of interest in this study.
References
References must be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the article and numbered in square brackets. Do not use individual sets of brackets for citation numbers that appear together, e.g., [1,5], not [1], [5]. Do not include personal communications, unpublished data, websites or other unpublished materials as references. Do not write unused references and please avoid unnecessary references. The reference list must not contain more than 35 references. References should be formatted as follows:
