The paper has been divided into three parts. In the first part, based on the thoughts ofNecati Oner, the concept of mind has been evaluated and a thesis about the structureand functioning of the mind has been put forward and tried to be justified. The secondpart of the paper has focused on three basic mentalities based on the process context andmastery of the elements of the mind that correspond to the concepts of thought, cognition,faith, emotion, sense, perception, memory and imagination. In the last section, boththe mentality structure and the language structure, which is the most central elementof the mentality, constitute a holistic “self” structure, especially within the frameworkof language, moral questioning of the protection or destruction of this holistic structurehas been mentioned. The study also introduced the non-separating structure of mentality-dependent language and mind-dependent mentality. It has been emphasized that thelanguage and mentality in a lively and holistic context have the power to unite individualconsciousness and social consciousness, and that by ignoring this matter, both individualmind and social mentality will be damaged.
Makalemiz kendi içinde üç bölüme ayrılmıştır. İlk kısımda Necati Öner’in düşüncelerindenhareketle zihin kavramı değerlendirilip, zihnin yapısı ve işleyişine ilişkin bir tez önesürülmüş ve gerekçelendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Makalenin ikinci kısmında düşünce, idrak,inanç, duygu, duyum, algı, hafıza ve hayal kavramları olarak karşılık bulan zihnin unsurlarınınişlem tarz ve hakimiyetlerine göre inşa edilmiş üç temel zihniyet üzerinde durulmuştur.Son bölümde ise gerek zihniyet yapısı gerekse onun en merkezi unsuru olan dilyapısının bütüncül bir “ben” yapısını teşkil ettiği öne sürülüp, özellikle dil çerçevesindebu bütüncül yapının muhafazası veya tahribinin ahlaki sorgulanması yapılmıştır. Çalışmadaayrıca, zihniyet bağımlı dil ve zihin bağımlı zihniyetin birbirinden ayrılmayan yapısıda tanıtılmıştır. Canlı ve bütüncül çerçevede dilin ve zihniyetin ferdi şuur ve toplumsalşuuru birleştiren güce sahip olduğu, bu hususun gözden kaçırılmasıyla hem ferdi zihinişleyişinin hem de toplumsal zihniyetin zarar göreceği vurgulanmıştır.
