ABSTRACT Sustainable cultural heritage management is a processthat local community are active with institutions in the process of determiningthe goals for conservation and utilization in the cultural heritage areas,planning, application and inspection of activities to be carried out. Turkey isa wealthy country from the point of cultural heritage due to historicalbackground. 17 places in Turkey aresituated in the world heritage list by UNESCO. One of these places is theancient city of Troy which has a long historical background. The aim of the study is revealing the thingsto be done in order to maintain the sustainability of the ancient city of Troywith jointly management. The study was carried out with an interview withpublic institutions, delegates of public sector, local community andnongovernmental organizations. As theresult of interviews, it was determined that sustainability of culturalheritage values of ancient city of Troy was tried to be provided with a participativemanagement model. It is recommended thatmaking a management plan for ensuringfor the sustainable cultural heritage management of the ancient city ofTroy should be made, the interinstitutional coordination should be improved,and the public participation should be increased.
