                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışmanın amacı bedensel esneklikten ruhsal dengeye: yoga egzersizlerinin yaşam kalitesi üzerine etkisinin incelenmesidir.Bu çalışmanın evrenini, Van ilinde ikamet eden 25–40 yaş aralığındaki toplam 40  (deney=20, kontrol=20) katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılara Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği-Kısa Formu uygulanmış ve esneklik ölçümleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizleri SPSS 20 paket programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Verilerin dağılımı Kolmogorov-Smirnov ve Shapiro-Wilk testleri ile, ayrıca Skewness ve Kurtosis değerleri incelenerek değerlendirilmiştir.                             <p>From Physical Flexibility to Mental Balance: An Examination of the Effects of Yoga Exercises on Quality of LifeThe aim of this study is to examine the effects of yoga exercises on quality of life, from physical flexibility to mental balance.The study population consists of a total of 40 participants (experimental group = 20, control group = 20) aged between 25 and 40 years and residing in Van, Türkiye. The World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale–Short Form (WHOQOL-BREF) was administered to the participants, and flexibility measurements were taken.The statistical analyses of the obtained data were conducted using the SPSS 20 software package. The distribution of the data was evaluated through the Kolmogorov–Smirnov and Shapiro–Wilk tests, as well as Skewness and Kurtosis values. Descriptive statistics were used, and the Independent Samples t-test was applied for comparisons between two groups, the ANOVA test for multiple group comparisons, and the Pearson correlation coefficient to determine relationships among variables. The significance level was set at p  &amp;lt; 0.05.The mean age of the experimental group was 30.85 ± 3.60 years, while that of the control group was 31.10 ± 3.30 years. The mean flexibility value of the experimental group was 33.85 ± 2.58 cm, compared to 25.75 ± 4.67 cm in the control group. When quality of life was examined by educational level, significant differences were found in the physical health and social relationships sub-dimensions (p  &amp;lt; 0.05). Comparing the experimental and control groups revealed significant differences in favor of the experimental group in the physical health and psychological sub-dimensions (p  &amp;lt; 0.05). These results indicate that the applied exercise program improved the participants’ physical and psychological well-being.While no significant relationships were found between flexibility and the sub-dimensions of quality of life in the experimental group (p &amp;gt; 0.05), a moderate positive correlation was detected between flexibility and physical health (r = 0.359). In the control group, a significant negative correlation was observed between flexibility and the psychological dimension (p  &amp;lt; 0.05).In conclusion, it was determined that regular yoga exercises have positive effects on individuals’ flexibility and quality of life. The higher flexibility values of the experimental group indicate that yoga-based exercises are effective in improving physical fitness. Furthermore, the differences observed in the physical health and psychological sub-dimensions demonstrate that exercise supports both physical and mental well-being.</p></trans-abstract>
