<p>Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the content of YouTube videos about porcelain laminate veneer applications, which is one of the esthetic dental applications.Materials and Method: A systematic search was made on YouTube using ‘porcelain laminate veneer’ keywords. The videos were classified according to the uploader and their information content was evaluated. Video quality was calculated by using the video information-quality index. The interaction and viewing rates of the videos were also analyzed. The data obtained were statistically analyzed and the significance was evaluated at p&amp;lt;0.01 and p&amp;lt;0.05.Results: Among the first 120 videos scanned within the scope of the study, 70 videos were included in the study. When the distributions were evaluated according to the video uploaders, it was seen that most videos were uploaded by TV channels (n=17, 25.3%). Regardless of the video uploader, all videos were found to have insufficient information content. It was found that the videos uploaded by prosthetic dentists were watched more, and the interaction rates were significantly higher (p&amp;lt;0.05) than the others; but in terms of information content, these videos were less satisfactory than the videos of other uploaders. Conclusion: The information content of YouTube videos on porcelain laminate veneers was found to be insufficient. Although the most viewed YouTube videos belonged to prosthodontists, the content of these videos was found to be inadequate in terms of parameters such as information flow and video quality.</p></trans-abstract>
