Objective: This study was conducted to determine the knowledge level of nursing students about vaccination and the factors affecting vaccination it.Method: The population of the research consists of a total of 213 nursing students, with a sample size of 151 nursing students who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study, including 116 females and 35 males. This research was conducted in a descriptive manner. Data were collected online using the "Personal Information Form" and the "Vaccine Hesitancy Scale." SPSS 25.00 software package was used for data analysis. The Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient of the research was found to be 0.908.Results: 76.8% of the students participating in the study were women. While it was seen that 31.1% of the students had sufficient knowledge about vaccination; It was determined that 43.7% of them were undecided about the adequacy of their knowledge. It was found that the mean score of the study group on the Vaccine Hesitancy Scale was 46.34±13.13, and the students were not significantly anti-vaccine.Conclusion: As a result of the research, it was determined that knowing vaccines was associated with a positive attitude toward vaccination. Vaccination holds a significant importance in preserving public health. Nurses who play an active role in vaccination are expected to possess sufficient knowledge about vaccination and effectively convey this knowledge to individuals in the community. To ensure this, it is recommended that nursing students receive adequate and effective education on vaccination throughout their university education.
Bu araştırma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin aşılanma hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerinin ve aşılanmayı etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 213 hemşirelik öğrencileri, örneklemini ise çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılmayı kabul eden 116 kadın ve 35 erkek olmak üzere toplam 151 hemşirelik öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırma tanımlayıcı tipte yapılmıştır. Veriler “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve “Aşı Karşıtlığı Ölçeği” ile çevrimiçi ortamda toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 25.00 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın Cronbach's Alpha güvenirlik katsayısı 0,908 olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %76.8’i kadındır. Öğrencilerin %31.1’inin aşılanma hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olduğu görülürken; %43.7’sinin sahip olduğu bilginin yeterliliği konusunda kararsız olduğu saptandı. Çalışma grubunun Aşı Karşıtlığı Ölçeği puan ortalaması 46,34±13,13 olarak düşük ve öğrencilerin anlamlı derecede aşı karşıtı olmadıkları bulundu. Araştırma sonucunda aşılar konusunda bilgi sahibi olma durumunun aşılanmaya yönelik olumlu tutum sergilenmesi ile ilişkili olduğu saptandı. Aşılanma, toplum sağlığını korumada oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Aşılamada etkin bir rol alan hemşirelerin ise aşılanma ile ilgili yeterli bilgilerinin olması ve bilgilerini etkili bir biçimde toplumdaki bireylere aktarmaları beklenmektedir. Bunların sağlanması içinde hemşirelik öğrencilerine üniversite eğitimleri süresince aşılanma hakkında yeterli ve etkili eğitimin verilmesi önerilmektedir.
