                                                                                                <abstract><p>Yarıyapılandırılmış görüşmelere dayanan bu çalışma, gazetecilik araştırmalarındasıklıkla ihmal edilen ya da marjinalleştirilen freelance gazetecilerle ilgilidir.Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de, kendi hesabına çalışmak için geleneksel işveren odaklıgazetecilik mesleğinden ayrılan freelance gazeteciler hakkında araştırmaalanındaki boşluğun doldurulmasına yönelik bir adımdır. Çalışmada, görüşmelerekatılacak gazetecilere ulaşmak için araştırmacı hem Türkiye GazetecilerSendikası (TGS) veri tabanından faydalanmış hem de arkadaş çevresi ile kişiselbağlantılar kurmuştur. Üç ana araştırma teması dikkate alınarak on yedi freelancegazeteci ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir: (1) Türkiye&#039;de freelancegazetecilerin profesyonel kimliği, (2) Türkiye&#039;de freelance gazeteci olarakçalışmanın avantajları ve dezavantajları, (3) Türkiye&#039;de freelance gazetecilikalanındaki temel sorunlar. Freelance gazetecilerin mesleki haklarınınkorunması, iş ve gelir güvencesinden yoksun kalma riskinin ortadan kaldırılmasıve çalışma koşullarının iyileştirilmesi için öncelikle devletin girişimdebulunması ve freelance gazetecilik yapan gazetecilere yardımcı olması gerektiğisonucuna varılmıştır.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;</p></abstract>
