<p>The hair-pulling disease is a condition called trichotillomania and is seen especially at young ages. Although a complete explanation of the etiology of the disease is not yet available, stress is decided to be an essential trigger. Behavioral therapies and drugs can be used in the treatment of the illness, as well as hypnotherapy. In the presented case, a 12-year-old male patient applied with the complaint of hair pulling in the middle parietal region of the head. This behavior had started 10 days ago before he applied. The patient, who was using Concerta 54 mg/day due to attention-deficit disorder, was given hypnotherapy with direct hypnosis technique three times with an interval of seven days. From the first session, it was observed that the patient relinquished pulling out his hair, and hair growth started again in the same area. As a result, it was recognized that hypnotherapy could be effective in trichotillomania treatment.</p></trans-abstract>
