                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışmanın amacı Instagram erişim engelinin meydana geldiği 2 Ağustos 2024 ile 10 Ağustos 2024 tarihi arasındaki dönemde Türk turizminin nasıl etkilendiğinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 15–30 Ağustos 2024 tarihleri arasında Google’da “Instagram” “erişim engeli” “turizm” kelimeleri  arama yapılmış ve arama sonucunda Instagram erişim engelinin Türk turizmine etkilerini konu alan 23 tane çevrimiçi haber sitesi tespit edilmiştir. Bu ulusal yirmi üç tane haber sitesindeki haber metinleri içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Bu içerik analizi sürecinde nitel veri analiz programı MAXQDA 2022‘den faydalanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda turistlerin tatil rezervasyonlarını, Instagramda hikâye ve gönderi paylaşamaması ve ifade özgürlüklerinin kısıtlanmış hissedeceklerinden dolayı iptal edebilecekleri belirtilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra Instagram erişim engelinin Türk turizminin imajını zedelemesi, tanıtımının yapılamaması, müşteri memnuniyetinin azalması, gelecek sezon satışlarına başlayamama, iflas, rezervasyon sayısında azalma, erken rezervasyon iptali ve ekonomik kayıplar gibi ciddi olumsuzluklara yol açabileceği tespit edilmiştir. Bu olumsuzluklarının yanında Instagram erişim yasağının tek olumlu yanının teknolojinin zararlı etkilerinden uzak kalarak turistleri dijital detoksa yönlendirmesidir. Ayrıca Instagram erişim engeli sonrası turizm işletmelerinin kısa mesaj veya e-postal gibi çeşitli pazarlama stratejilerine yeniden kullanmaya yöneldiği, bağlılığı yüksek müşteri ile tekrar iletişim kurmaya başladığı ve Instagram dışındaki Facebook, Twitter, blog gibi sosyal medya platformlarını kullanarak pazarlama faaliyetlerine yöneldiği belirlenmiştir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>The aim of this study is to determine how Turkish tourism was affected during the period between August 2 and 10, 2024, when access to Instagram was restricted. For this purpose, between August 15 and 30 2024, a search was conducted on the Google using the keywords “Instagram,” “access restriction,” and “tourism.” As a result of this search, 23 online news websites discussing the effects of the Instagram access restriction on Turkish tourism were identified. The news texts published on these twenty-three national news sites were subjected to content analysis. During this content analysis process, the qualitative data analysis program MAXQDA 2022 was used. The findings of the research indicate that tourists may cancel their vacation reservations due to their inability to share stories and posts on Instagram and their feeling that their freedom of expression has been restricted. In addition, it was determined that the Instagram access restriction could cause serious negative consequences such as damaging the image of Turkish tourism, preventing its promotion, decreasing customer satisfaction, delaying the start of sales for the upcoming season, bankruptcy, a decrease in the number of reservations, early reservation cancellations, and economic losses. Alongside these negative effects, the only positive aspect of the Instagram access ban is that it may encourage tourists to engage in digital detox, keeping them away from the harmful effects of technology. Furthermore, it was observed that after the Instagram access restriction, tourism businesses began to reuse various marketing strategies such as sending text messages or emails, reestablishing communication with highly loyal customers, and turning to other social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and blogs for their marketing activities.</p></trans-abstract>
