Araştırma kapsamında sağlık hizmetlerinde akreditasyon konusundaki bilimsel yayınların bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma verileri 5 Nisan 2025 tarihinde Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection üzerinden “topic” seçilerek TS=((“accreditation” AND (“healthcare” OR “health care” OR “health-care” OR “health service$” OR “healthcare service$” OR “health care service$” OR “health-care service$”))) formülü ile arama yapılarak elde edilmiştir. Arama bulgularında daha net sonuçlara ulaşmak adına 2025 yılındaki sonuçlar hariç tutulmuş, doküman türü “article”, WOS indeksi “Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-Expanded)” ve “Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)”, yayın dili “English” olarak filtrelenmiştir. Son tahlilde Web of Science Core Collection veri tabanından elde edilen 2737 veri seti VOSviewer programı aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir.

This study investigates the body of scientific literature on accreditation in healthcare services through a bibliometric approach. The research data were retrieved on April 5, 2025, from the Web of Science (WOS) Core Collection using the “topic” option and the formula TS=((“accreditation” AND (“healthcare” OR “health care” OR “health-care” OR “health service$” OR “healthcare service$” OR “health care service$” OR “health-care service$”))). To enhance the precision of the results, records published in 2025 were excluded, and the search was filtered by document type “article,” WOS index “Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-Expanded)” and “Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI),” and publication language “English.” Ultimately, a dataset of 2,737 records was analyzed using VOSviewer software. Co-authorship, keyword co-occurrence, and co-citation analyses were performed to trace the historical development of scholarly output in the field of accreditation in healthcare over the years, as well as identify influential authors, institutions, countries, and key research themes. The results indicate a substantial increase in accreditation-related research since the 1990s, particularly revealing that researchers in Australia have occupied a significant place in the field. At both institutional and national levels, the United States emerged as the leading contributor, although in more recent years scholarly activity has become increasingly diversified across a broader range of countries. Keyword analysis further demonstrated that the term “accreditation” is frequently associated with “quality improvement.” From a historical perspective, the analysis indicates that over the past fifteen years, the keywords used in accreditation-related research have increasingly been associated with education, medical informatics, patient-centered approaches, and remote healthcare services. The study has made a significant contribution to the literature by mapping the global development of accreditation in healthcare services and providing guiding insights for future research.
