Öz

In this study, Dutch disease hypothesis tested for the Central Asian
Turkish Republics via panel data analysis methods for 1990-2010 periods. As a
result of the analysis, an increase in crude oil price negatively affects the
real exchange rate and Dutch Disease hypothesis invalid in these countries. It
was found that trade openness; foreign direct investments and government
expenditures have positive impact on the real exchange rate in these countries.

Bu çalısmada Hollanda hastalıgı hipotezi, Orta Asya Türk Cumhuriyetleri için, 1990-2011 dönemi verileriyle, panel veri analizi yöntemiyle test edilmistir. Analiz sonucunda, bu ülkelerde petrol fiyatlarındaki artısların, reel döviz kurunu negatif yönde etkiledigi ve söz konusu hipotezin geçerli olmadıgı tespit edilmistir. Ticari dısa açıklık, dogrudan yabancı yatırımlar ve kamu harcamalarının ise reel döviz kurunu pozitif yönde etkiledigi bulgusuna ulasılmıstır.
