Genel ve Sporcu Beslenme Bilgisi Ölçeği Türkçe Formu: Lise ve Üniversite Öğrencileri İçin Geçerlik Güvenirlik Çalışması

Öz

Amaç: Beslenmenin sağlık ve yaşam kalitesi üzerindeki etkilerini vurgulayan çalışmalar, ergenlik ve genç yetişkinlik dönemlerine dikkat çekmektedir Gençlerin genel beslenme bilgilerindeki eksiklikler, sağlıksız beslenme alışkanlıkları kazanmalarına yol açmaktadır. Özellikle spor yapan gençler uygun olmayan diyetlerle sağlıklarını tehlikeye atmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Genel ve Sporcu Beslenmesi ölçeğinin Türkçe formunun geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmasının yapılarak araştırmacıların kullanımına sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada Calella, Lacullo ve Valerio (2017) tarafından geliştirilen Genel ve Sporcu Beslenme Bilgisi Ölçeği Türkçe diline uyarlanmış, geçerlik ve güvenirliği yapılmıştır. Çalışma 538 lise öğrencisinin ve 509 üniversite öğrencisinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.
Bulgular: Genel ve Sporcu Beslenme Bilgisi Ölçeği’nin Türkçe uyarlamasında, orijinal ölçekte yer alan iki madde ayırt edicilikleri düşük olduğu için çıkarılmıştır. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik katsayıları, Genel Beslenme bölümünde lise grubu için α=0,92 ve üniversite grubu için α=0,90 ve Sporcu Beslenmesi bölümünde lise grubu için α=0,89 ve üniversite grubu için α=0,87 belirlenmiştir. Tüm ölçek için lise grubunda α=0,94 ve üniversite grubunda α=0,92 olarak hesaplanmıştır.
Sonuç: Genel ve Sporcu Beslenme Bilgisi Ölçeği’nin Türkçe uyarlaması ergen ve genç yetişkinlerin genel ve sporcu beslenme bilgisini ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçektir.

Turkish Version of General and Sports Nutrition Knowledge Scale: Validity and Reliability Study for High School and University Students

Öz

Objectives: Studies emphasizing the effects of nutrition on health and quality of life draw attention to adolescence and young adulthood. Deficiencies in general nutritional knowledge among young people cause unhealthy eating habits. In particular young people doing sports endanger their health with inappropriate diets. Accordingly, a valid and reliable scale was developed by to measure the general and sports nutrition knowledge of adolescents and young adults. In this study, it is aimed to determine validity and reliability of The Turkish Version of General and Sports Nutrition Knowledge Scale and present it for the use of researchers.
Materials and Methods: The General and Sports Nutrition Knowledge Scale which was developed by Calella, Lacullo, and Valerio (2017), was adapted to the Turkish language and its validity and reliability were determined. The study was carried out with the participation of 538 high school and 509 university students.
Results: In the Turkish version of the General and Sports Nutrition Knowledge Scale, two items in the original scale were excluded because their discrimination was low. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficients of the scale were determined as α=0.92 for the high school, α=0.90 for the university group in the General Nutrition section and α=0.89 for the high school, α=0.87 for the university group in the Sports Nutrition section. For the whole scale, it was calculated as α=0.94 in the high school and α=0.92 in the university group.
Conclusion: The Turkish version of the General and Sports Nutrition Knowledge Scale is a valid and reliable scale to measure the general and sports nutrition knowledge of adolescents and young adults.
