This study aims to examine the competency-based assessment and evaluation approach embedded in the 6th grade music curriculum developed within the framework of the Türkiye Century Education Model. The research was conducted using a qualitative document analysis method. Assessment tools, evaluation types, cognitive levels, and student roles included in the curriculum were thematically analyzed within the scope of the Music Language and Music Culture themes. The findings indicate that process-oriented and performance-based assessment approaches are adopted in both themes; however, differences emerge in terms of the purposes of assessment tools, cognitive focus, and levels of student involvement. While the Music Language theme primarily emphasizes the assessment of technical and fundamental musical skills, the Music Culture theme foregrounds skills such as interpretation, comparison, and cultural awareness. Overall, the results suggest that the assessment and evaluation structure of the curriculum provides a holistic framework in which assessment tools assume differentiated pedagogical functions across themes, thereby supporting a competency-based educational approach.
Bu çalışma, Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli kapsamında hazırlanan 6. sınıf müzik dersi öğretim programında yer alan yetkinlik temelli ölçme ve değerlendirme anlayışını incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden doküman analizi yöntemiyle yürütülmüş; öğretim programında yer alan ölçme ve değerlendirme araçları, değerlendirme türleri, bilişsel düzeyler ve öğrenci rolleri, Müzik Dili ve Müzik Kültürü temaları çerçevesinde tematik olarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, her iki temada da süreç temelli ve performansa dayalı ölçme yaklaşımlarının benimsendiğini; ancak ölçme araçlarının kullanım amaçları, bilişsel odakları ve öğrenci katılım düzeyleri açısından farklılaştığını göstermektedir. Müzik Dili temasında teknik ve temel müziksel becerilerin değerlendirilmesine ağırlık verilirken, Müzik Kültürü temasında yorumlama, karşılaştırma ve kültürel farkındalık gibi bilişsel becerilerin ön plana çıktığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, programın ölçme ve değerlendirme yapısı, farklı temalarda farklı pedagojik işlevler üstlenen ölçme araçları aracılığıyla, yetkinlik temelli yaklaşımı destekleyen bütüncül bir çerçeve sunmaktadır.
