                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışma, vakıf üniversitelerinde görev yapan akademisyenlerin psikolojik dayanıklılık düzeylerinin işten ayrılma niyetleri üzerindeki etkisini ve bu ilişkide cinsiyetin düzenleyici rolünü araştırmaktır. Türkiye genelindeki vakıf üniversitelerinden 450 akademisyenin katılımıyla gerçekleştirilen araştırmada, hiyerarşik regresyon analizi ve Hayes&#039;in PROCESS makrosu (Model 1) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları, psikolojik dayanıklılığın işten ayrılma niyetini negatif yönde anlamlı olarak yordadığını göstermiştir. Ayrıca, cinsiyetin bu ilişkide düzenleyici rolü olduğu, psikolojik dayanıklılığın işten ayrılma niyetini azaltıcı etkisinin kadın akademisyenler için erkek akademisyenlere kıyasla daha belirgin olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu bulgular, üniversite yönetimlerinin akademisyenlerin elde tutulmasına yönelik stratejiler geliştirirken, cinsiyet farklılıklarını dikkate alan ve psikolojik dayanıklılığı artırmayı hedefleyen programlara öncelik vermesi gerektiğini ortaya koymaktadır.</p></abstract>

                            <p>This investigation explores the relationship between psychological resilience and intention to leave among faculty members in foundation universities, with particular emphasis on whether gender functions as a moderating variable in this association. The sample comprised 450 academics from foundation universities throughout Turkey. Employing hierarchical regression analysis and Hayes&#039;s PROCESS macro (Model 1), we found that psychological resilience significantly predicts reduced turnover intention. Furthermore, gender moderated this relationship such that resilience demonstrated a stronger buffering effect against turnover intention for female academics compared to male academics. These findings underscore the necessity for university administrations to incorporate gender-differentiated, resilience-building initiatives into their faculty retention frameworks.</p></trans-abstract>
