Bu araştırmada mesleki staj uygulamalarının çocuk gelişimi bölümü öğrencilerinin mesleki yeterlik algıları üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma deneysel yöntemlerden tek grup ön test son test desenine göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın örneklemini Iğdır üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 116 çocuk gelişimi bölümü öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri kişisel bilgi formu ve mesleki yeterlik algı ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre katılımcıların mesleki yeterlik algıları yüksek düzeydedir. Katılımcıların ön test-son test puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edilememiştir. Katılımcıların staj öncesi ve sonrası mesleki yeterliğe ilişkin görüşleri cinsiyete, mezun olunan lise türüne göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Katılımcıların mesleki yeterlik algılarının, akademik başarıya göre ön test puanları açısından farklılaşmadığı, ancak son test puanlarına göre farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, katılımcıların mesleki yeterlik algılarının staj yapılan yer değişkenine göre anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığını göstermektedir. Diğer taraftan, mesleki staj uygulamalarının öğrencilerin mesleki yeterlik algıları üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisinin olduğu tespit edilmemiştir. Araştırma süreci sonunda araştırmacı ve uygulayıcılara öneriler sunulmuştur.
This In this study, the effect of vocational internship practices on child development students' perceptions of professional competence was investigated. The research was conducted according to one group pre-test post-test design from experimental methods. The sample of the study consisted of 116 child development students studying at Iğdır University. The data were collected using personal information form and professional competence perception scale. According to the findings obtained from the research, the participants' perceptions of professional competence are at a high level. There was no statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the participants. The participants' views on professional competence before and after the internship did not show a statistically significant difference according to gender and the type of high school graduated from. It was determined that the participants' perceptions of professional competence did not differ according to academic achievement in terms of pre-test scores, but differed according to post-test scores. The findings of the research show that the participants' perceptions of professional competence differ significantly according to the place of internship. On the other hand, it was not found that vocational internship practices had a significant effect on students' perceptions of professional competence. At the end of the research process, suggestions for researchers and practitioners were presented.
