The Notion Of Productivity and The Significance of Productivity in Firms: The Sample Of AKFA Tea Factory
Abstract
Owing to rapid population growth in Turkey and in the world, the studies increasing the production consistently need to be done in order to meet the requirements of humans and to enhance the welfare level. Additionally, the studies on increasing the productivity in the existing productive facilities come to light because of high investment costs and the degradation of natural resources. The use of insufficient resources more effective and productive is the key point to enhance the welfare level by means of sustainable development. The perpetuation of the productivity growth in firms is required in attempt to increase productivity at the national level. In this study, the concept of productivity and the significance of the productivity in firms are researched by means of field study on AKFA tea factory which operates in Eynesil, in the city of Giresun.
