Five novel mixed ligand Cu(II) complexes {[Cu(psba)2(x)2].nH2O, x = 2ap, n = 0 for 1, 2apic, n = 2 for 2, 2a4pic, n = 2 for 3, 2a5pic, n = 2 for 4 and 2a6pic, n = 0 for 5} obtained from p-sulfamoylbenzoic acid (Hpsba) and 2-aminopyridine (2ap), 2-aminopicoline (2apic), 2-amino-4-picoline (2a4pic), 2-amino-5-picoline (2a5pic) and 2-amino-6-picoline (2a6pic) have been synthesized. Elemental analysis, AAS, IR, UV-Vis, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity studies characterized the structures of 1-5. According to spectroscopic results, structures 1-5 were observed to be tetrahedral in all complexes.
