İMMATÜR DİŞLERDE REJENERATİF ENDODONTİK TEDAVİ UYGULAMALARI: BİR VAKA SERİSİ

Abstract

Regenerative Endodontic Treatment Applications in Immature Teeth: A Case Series

Year 2025, Volume: 5 Issue: 2, 109 - 113, 29.08.2025

Abstract

Regenerative endodontic therapy is a treatment modality that facilitates continued root formation in immature teeth with necrotic pulp and periapical radiolucency. The most frequently observed causes of necrosis in an immature root include decay, improper endodontic treatments, and trauma. Necrosis of the dental pulp may adversely affect long-term tooth survival and preservation, potentially serving as a bacterial reservoir that can infect periapical tissue and the maxillofacial space. This study presents the application of regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) and concentrated growth factor (CGF) scaffolds in four distinct patients with necrotic pulp and asymptomatic apical periodontitis. During the 12-month follow-up period post-treatment, we observed resolution of symptoms, significant periapical healing, and partial root formation.
