Fritillaria serapiae (Liliaceae), A New Species From the Bacavan Plateau in Southeastern Anatolia, Türkiye

Abstract

Fritillaria serapiae Sonay, Balos, Yıldırım & Tekşen (Liliaceae), newly described from the Siirt-Şirvan Bacavan Plateau in eastern Türkiye, represents a novel addition to the genus Fritillaria L. This study presents a detailed morphological comparison with closely related species, F. minuta Boiss. & Noe and F. armena Boiss., and provides data on its IUCN threat category and conservation status.
