Assertiveness is the ability to express oneself and one's needs without harming the rights and freedoms of others. In today's world, where students need to be prepared for life rather than merely equipped with knowledge, the responsibility falls largely on teachers. Teachers are expected to have high levels of assertiveness in order to fulfill this responsibility properly. For this reason, the aim of this study was to deter-mine the assertiveness levels of education faculty students who will take place in the society as future teachers and to determine the effect of various variables on assertive-ness levels. The research was conducted with a total of 304 students studying at the faculty of education. In this descriptive model research, the assertiveness levels of the students of the faculty of education were determined and the effects of variables such as gender, department, type of high school graduated from, mother and father education status on assertiveness levels were determined. The data collected with the Assertive-ness Scale were analyzed with non-parametric statistical techniques. According to the results of the analysis, it was determined that the assertiveness levels of the faculty of education students were significantly affected only by the gender variable.
