In this context In the lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, we can see the naked eye or we can observe with tools and instruments, such as air, water, soil and minerals. all works created/resulting from the natural elements are measured, orderly and perfect activities. The subject of this functioning in nature and these activities geography is the science that names it. When the Turkish Qur'anic translations for the 31st verse of Surah Anbiya are analysed and the Arabic text of the relevant verse is examined in detail, it is understood that the word "Subulen" is used in the sense of passage, road or valley. However, the fact that people have benefited from these physical geography elements and used them for multipurposes from ancient and perhaps prehistoric times to the present day shows how important they are in the natural environmenthuman relationship.
Günümüz dünyasında doğa olayları materyalizm, determinizm ya da naturalizm perspektifinden ifade edilmektedir. Diğer bir ifadeyle evrendeki tüm doğa olayları ya sebepler ya doğanın kendisi ya da kendiliğinden meydana gelmiştir argümanı bilimsel çalışmalarda yoğunluktadır. Hâlbuki doğa olaylarının intizamlı, mizanlı ve ahenkli bir şekilde işleyişi göz önündedir ki bilim bunu verilerle, analizlerle ifade etmekte ve kanıtlamaktadır. O halde tüm evrende doğa olaylarının arkasında bir ilim (bilgi), irade (bilinç) ve kudret (güç) eli vardır ki Kur’an bize bunu söylemektedir. Bu bağlamda Litosfer, hidrosfer ve atmosferde çıplak gözle görebildiğimiz ya da bilimsel araçgereçlerle gözlemleyebildiğimiz hava, su, toprak ve madenler gibi şuursuz doğal unsurların eliyle ortaya çıkan/sonuçlanan tüm eserler ölçülü, intizamlı ve mükemmel faaliyetlerdir. Doğadaki bu işleyişi konu edinen ve bu faaliyetleri adlandıran bilim coğrafyadır. Bu bağlamda madem şuursuz olan doğal unsurlar şuurlu iş yapıyorsa bu işleyişin arkasında bir ilim (bilgi), irade (bilinç) ve kudret (güç) elinin olması zorunludur. Bizzat bilim tarafından keşfedilen gerçekler bize evrenin tesadüfen oluşmadığını söylemektedir. Bu çalışmanın temasını fiziki coğrafyanın ana unsurları olan vadiler/geçitler oluştururken, aynı olaylara/olgulara Kur’an penceresinden bakılarak söz konusu unsurlar üzerinde derinlemesine düşünme ve inceleme amaçlanmıştır. Enbiya suresinin 31. ayeti için Türkçe Kur’an mealleri incelendiğinde ve ilgili ayetin Arapça metnine detaylı bakıldığında; "Subulen" lafzının/kelimesinin geçit, yol ya da vadi anlamında kullanıldığı anlaşılmıştır. Bununla birlikte insanların ilkçağ ve belki de tarih öncesi çağlardan günümüze kadar bu fiziki coğrafya unsurlarından yararlanmaları ve çok amaçlı kullanmaları doğal ortaminsan ilişkisinde ne kadar önemli olduklarını göstermektedir.
