The science of Kalām, which fulfills the duty of defending the religion of Islam by refuting the ideas and objections put forward, is a discipline that proves the principles of belief with rational methods based on revelational evidences. In this context, Kalām lesson aims to provide students with the ability to explain the principles of belief with rational methods by basing them on religious texts and criticizing and responding to opposing ideas. In this respect, the Kalām course, which deals with issues related to the belief dimension of religion, significantly contributes to forming a solid belief by providing students with the ability to base theological issues and support them with rational evidence. This course and the guidance of its teachers are of great importance in developing a healthy and qualified religious understanding in students' critical age periods when deep questions about the meaning and purpose of life. In this respect, it is necessary to identify the daily questions and priority issues students encounter and develop appropriate methods. Considering the cognitive and affective development processes, knowing which information, at what level, and within what methodology will be given to young people at the age of religious doubt becomes important. For this reason, while preparing the Kalām curriculum, the priorities and current responses of the course should be well determined to contribute to the solution of faith problems appropriate to the student's level of interest and perception. While discussing the classical subjects of Kalām, using current studies and effective methods will make the needed subjects more understandable and interesting. It is important to use appropriate teaching techniques that include visual materials and multiple intelligence applications to make the lesson more functional in abstract subjects where using visual materials will be more effective. In this context, the primary purpose of the study is to examine the Kalām course, which is compulsory in the 12th grade of Imam-Hatip high schools, firstly the basic philosophy, objectives and achievements of the curriculum then the critical issues of the course, the current issues and problems and the approaches, methods and techniques that can be used in the Kalām course.
İleri sürülen fikir ve itirazları çürüterek İslâm dinini savunma görevini yerine getiren kelâm ilmi, inanç ilkelerini naklî delillere dayanarak aklî yöntemlerle kanıtlayan bir disiplindir. Bu bağlamda kelâm dersi; öğrencilere inanç esaslarını naslardan hareketle temellendirerek aklî yöntemlerle izah etme ve karşıt fikirleri eleştirip cevaplama becerisi kazandırmayı hedeflemektedir. Bu yönüyle dinin inanç boyutuyla ilgili konularını ele alan kelâm dersi, öğrencilere itikadi konuları temellendirme ve aklî delillerle destekleme becerisi kazandırarak inancın sağlam bir şekilde oluşmasına önemli katkı sağlamaktadır. Hayatın anlamı ve gayesi üzerine derin sorgulamaların oluştuğu öğrencilerin kritik yaş dönemlerinde sağlıklı ve nitelikli bir dini anlayış geliştirmede bu dersin ve öğretmenlerinin yapacağı rehberliğin önemi büyüktür. Bu açıdan öğrencilerin günlük hayatta karşılaştıkları zihinlerine takılan soruların ve öncelikli konuların tespit edilmesi ve buna uygun yöntemlerin geliştirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bilişsel ve duyuşsal gelişim süreçleri dikkate alındığında dini şüphe yaşındaki gençlere hangi bilginin hangi seviyede ve nasıl bir metot çerçevesinde verileceği önem kazanmaktadır. Bu nedenle kelâm müfredatı hazırlanırken öğrencinin ilgi ve algı düzeyine uygun inanç sorunlarının çözümüne katkı sağlamak amacıyla dersin öncelikleri ve güncel karşılıkları iyi tespit edilmelidir. Kelâmın klasik konuları ele alınırken güncel karşılığı olan çalışmalardan ve etkili yöntemlerden faydalanmak, özellikle ihtiyaç duyulan konuları daha anlaşılır ve ilgi çekici hale getirecektir. Görsel materyal kullanmanın daha etkili olacağı bu tür soyut konularda dersi daha işlevsel hale getirecek görsel materyaller ve çoklu zekâ uygulamaları içeren uygun öğretim tekniklerini kullanmak önem taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın temel amacı, İmam-Hatip liseleri 12. sınıflarında zorunlu olan kelâm dersini; öğretim programının temel felsefesi, amaçları ve kazanımları başta olmak üzere kelâm dersinin kritik konuları, güncel konu ve problemler ile kelâm dersinde kullanılabilecek yaklaşım, yöntem ve teknikler çerçevesinde incelemektir.
