This study examines the cost management strategies adopted by Turkish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating under persistent inflationary conditions and explores the role of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in this process. The research adopts a qualitative methodology based on direct observations in a CPA office in Ankara, supported by thematic content analysis and document reviews. The findings reveal that inflation has a significant impact on SMEs’ pricing behaviour, cash flow management, and investment decisions. In response to these challenges, firms adopt strategies such as flexible pricing, renegotiation with suppliers, and the integration of digital tools. CPAs play a strategic role in areas such as inflation accounting, regulatory compliance, financial guidance, and strategic decision-making. However, the quality and scope of advisory services vary considerably among practitioners. This paper concludes with policy recommendations aimed at enhancing the advisory capacity and digital resilience of SMEs operating in inflation-affected economies.
