Kastamonu'daki Ağaç Türlerinin Tanıtılmasına Yönelik Yapay Zeka Destekli Mobil Uygulama Geliştirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Kastamonu bölgesindeki ağaç türlerinin tanıtılmasına yönelik yapay zeka destekli bir mobil uygulama geliştirilmesi incelenmiştir. Bölgenin zengin orman yapısı göz önünde bulundurularak, uygulama kullanıcılara ağaç türlerini tespit etme olanağı sağlamakta ve ağaçların özellikleri, endüstriyel kullanım alanları, hastalık ve zararlılara karşı dayanıklılıkları hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Kullanıcı dostu bir arayüze sahip olan uygulama, ağaçları yaprak tipine veya alfabetik sıraya göre filtreleme seçenekleri sunmaktadır. Google Lens entegrasyonu sayesinde kullanıcılar bir ağacın fotoğrafını çekerek türünü belirleyebilir ve ilgili bilgilere kolayca ulaşabilirler. Ayrıca çocuklara özel tasarlanmış eğitici oyunlarla öğrenme süreci desteklenmektedir. Uygulamanın geliştirme sürecinde Kotlin programlama dili ve MVVM mimarisi kullanılmıştır. Asenkron veri işleme için Kotlin Coroutines, veri depolama için Android Room kütüphanesi ve sayfalar arası geçişler için Android Navigation Kütüphanesi kullanılmıştır. Uygulama prototipi 10-15 yaş aralığındaki 50 çocuk üzerinde test edilmiş ve kullanıcı deneyimi ile ilgili bir anket yapılmıştır. Sonuçlara göre uygulama genel olarak olumlu geri bildirimler almış, özellikle Google Lens entegrasyonu ve kullanıcı dostu arayüzü beğenilmiştir. Eğitici oyunların ilgi çekici olduğu görüldü ancak daha fazla geliştirilmesi gerektiği belirtildi. Sonuç olarak bu mobil uygulama doğa eğitimi ve ağaç türlerinin tanıtımı için önemli bir araç olma potansiyeline sahip. Yapay zekanın ve mobil teknolojinin eğitimde etkili kullanımını gösteren çalışma, gelecekte daha kapsamlı yapay zeka çözümleriyle zenginleştirilebilir.

Development of Artificial Intelligence-Supported Mobile Application Introducing Tree Species in Kastamonu

Abstract

This study examines the development of an artificial intelligence-supported mobile application to introduce tree species in the Kastamonu region. Taking into account the rich forest structure of the region, the application allows users to identify tree species and provides information about the characteristics of trees, their industrial use areas and their resistance to diseases and pests. The application has a user-friendly interface and offers options to filter trees by leaf type or alphabetical order. Thanks to the Google Lens integration, users can determine the type of a tree by taking a photo and easily access relevant information. In addition, the learning process is supported with educational games specially designed for children. The Kotlin programming language and MVVM architecture were used in the development process of the application. Kotlin Coroutines were used for asynchronous data processing, Android Room library for data storage and Android Navigation Library for transitions between pages. The application prototype was tested on 50 children between the ages of 10-15 and a survey was conducted regarding user experience. According to the results, the application received generally positive feedback, especially the Google Lens integration and user-friendly interface were appreciated. Educational games were found to be interesting, however it was stated that they need to be developed further. As a result, this mobile application has the potential to be an important tool for nature education and the promotion of tree species. The study, which demonstrates the effective use of artificial intelligence and mobile technology in education, can be enriched with more comprehensive artificial intelligence solutions in the future.
