                            <p>Medya, günümüzde ekonomiyle aynı yapıdaolan ekonomik bir güç haline gelmiştir. Kaynakları, iş alanları, sermayeyatırımları ile milli ekonomi içinde geniş bir ticaret sektörü olarak karşımızaçıkmaktadır. Medya ekonomisi, ekonomi teorilerinin ve kavramlarının medyaendüstrisi üzerinden incelenmesidir. Medya ekonomisi, işletme faaliyetleriniifade etmek için kullanılan bir terimdir. Çeşitli medya endüstrilerinde çıktıüreten ve satan firmaların finansal faaliyetlerini anlatmaktadır. Medyaekonomisi, yazılı medya ve yayıncılık gibi geleneksel medya ve internet gibiyeni medyanın da yer aldığı her medya biçimini kapsamaktadır. Medya ekonomisigeniş ve çeşitli bir kavramdır. Medyanın politika, pazar ve medya şirketlerininuygulamaları ve performans gibi ekonomik konularını içermektedir. Bu makalede,medya ekonomisi araştırmalarındaki temel teori, paradigmaları ve medyaekonomisinin geniş iletişim bilimi alanına katkılarını gözden geçirerekaçıklamak amaçlanmaktadır. Ayrıca, bilgiyi üreten ve dağıtan medyadaki mevcutkavramların yanı sıra izleyici-okuyucu-kullanıcı arasında çok öngörülemeyen birmedya ekonomisi kavramını üzerinde durulmuştur.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Today, the media has become an economicforce with the same structure as the economy. Resources, business areas,capital investments and the national economy as a wide range of trade isemerging as a confrontation. Media economy is the study of economic theoriesand concepts through the media industry. The media economy is a term used todescribe business activities. Various media describe the financial activitiesof firms producing and selling output in the industry. The media economyincludes traditional media such as print media and publishing, and every mediaformat in which new media such as the internet are involved. Media economy is abroad and diverse concept. It includes economic aspects such as the practicesand performance of the media policy, market and media companies. In thisarticle, it is aimed to explain the basic theories, paradigms in media economyresearches and their contribution to the field of broad communication knowledgeof the media economy. In addition, the concept of a media economy that is notvery predictable between viewer-reader-user as well as existing concepts in themedia that produces and distributes information is emphasized.</p></abstract>
