A CONTlRUBUTION TO THE FLORA OF TURKEY: Silene fabaroides

Year 1993, Volume: 29 Issue: 1, 27 - 30, 09.09.2015

Abstract

Silene fabaroides Hausskn. is added to the flora of Turkey with the specimens collected from European Turkey (A1 (E) Edirne). Description of the species with illustration is given.During the field studies conducted for further determination of the flora of European Turkey, some Silene specimens drew our attention among the material collected from Edirne in 1992. They have been determined as Silene fabaroides Hausskn. using basic floras (1-3). There is no record concerning the presence in Turkey either in Flora of Turkey (4,5) or in other floristic publication related the flora of European Turkey (6-20). It seems to be new record for flora of Turkey with the specimens cited in this paper.
