My research interests are in the area of modelling and analysis of Human-Machine Interfaces in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) with high-assurance needs, System Optimisation, System Modelling and Artificial Intelligence.
António D. Costa, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Informatics, University of Minho, Portugal, where he has developed teaching and research activities in Computer Networks and Computer Communications since 1992. As a researcher, he currently integrates the Computer Communications and Networks (CCN) research group at Centro Algoritmi, School of Engineering, University of Minho. He graduated in Systems and Informatics Engineering in 1992, obtained an MSc Degree in Informatics in 1998 and a PhD Degree in Computer Science in 2006 at the same university.
He has participated in several research projects and published over ninety peer-reviewed scientific articles indexed by major reference databases (Scopus, ISI WoS, DBLP) in the areas of Communications, Networks, Vehicular Networks, Wireless Positioning, Protocols, Network Services, QoS, IoT, Ad Hoc Networks, and new network paradigms for the future Internet. He has supervised three completed PhD students and dozens of Master’s students. His most recent projects include Be.Neutral, InfraROB, neXtSense, NETEDGE, and Easy Ride. His current research interests focus on vehicular networks and V2X communications, software-defined networking, content-based networking, and the future Internet.

Khoa Nguyen is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Carleton University. He received M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Sunderland, England, in 2013 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, Carleton University, Canada, in 2021, respectively. His main research interests include communication networks, cloud/edge computing, parked vehicle edge computing (PVEC), Internet of Vehicles (IoV), software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), containerization technologies, evolutionary algorithms, and AI/ML applications.
