The aim of this work is to identify the the anxiety that high school students have towards the Physics lesson, and to analyze if the total anxiety points show meaningful variations based on the candidates’ sex and grade. This research has a comparative and descriptive quality, and was carried out with 100 students in the Spring term of 2012 – 2013 academic year. A survey with 21 questions was used as a means of gathering information. The gathered information was then analyzed, percentage rates of reponse arithmetic average and response frequency were taken, and candidates’ anxiety towards Physics lesson was evaluated. Using independent sample t-test, it was tested if the total anxiety points show meaningful variations based on the candidates’ sex and grade. The descriptive statistics results showed that generally the candidates didn’t show too much anxiety towards Physics lessons; instead they showed mid-level enxiety towards Physics. Although the analysis results showed that the anxiety points of female students towards Physics lesson were higher, it was concluded that this result was not meaningful based on an inference statistics result. It was also observed that the grade variables have no meaningful effect on the anxiety points.

Bu çalısmanın amacı lise ögrencilerinin fizik dersine yönelik endiselerini belirlemek, toplam endise puanlarının adayların cinsiyet, sınıf ve fizik dersine karsı endise duyma durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar gösterip göstermedigini incelemektir. Arastırma karsılastırma niteliginde betimsel bir çalısma olup, 2012-2013 egitim ögretim yılı bahar döneminde 100 ögrenci ile gerçeklestirilmistir. Veri toplama aracı olarak 21 soruluk anket kullanılmıstır. Elde edilen veriler analiz edilerek, maddelerin aritmetik ortalama ve seçeneklere ait frekans, yüzde degerleri belirlenmis ve adayların fizik dersine yönelik endiseleri degerlendirilmistir. Toplam endise puanlarının adayların cinsiyet ve endise durumlarına göre farklılık gösterip göstermedigi bagımsız örneklem ttesti ile test edilmistir. Betimsel istatistik sonuçları, genel olarak adayların fizik dersine yönelik fazla endise sergilemedigi, orta düzeyde endise duyuldugu görülmüstür. Bununla birlikte kız ögrencilerin fizik dersine yönelik endise puanlarının daha yüksek olmasına ragmen, bu farkın çıkarsamalı istatistik sonuçlarına göre anlamlı olmadıgı, sınıf seviyesi degiskenlerinin endise puanları üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadıgı tespit edilmistir.
