                                                                                                <abstract><p>Health systems are deeply affectedfromdemographic change since the burden of diseases and health expenditures, and thestrugglesinhealthcare deliverysystem arevery much relatedto the age groups ina society. This study aims to analyze the composition of Turkish society&#039;s age structure compared to the available global data, mainly focusing on the elderly population. In the light of theagingpopulation and the future demographic assessments, the challenges of the health system and possible new policy requirements are discussed, accordingly.</p></abstract>
