Germ cell testicular tumor with best prognosis, spermatocytic seminoma: a rare case report
Abstract
The spermatocytic seminoma is a different testicular germ cell neoplasm representing less than 1% of testicular cancers. It has distinctive clinical and pathological features when compared with classical seminoma. Diagnosis of spermatocytic seminoma is difficult, especially in elderly patients, due to its rare occurrence, lack of clinical presentation, and the difficulty of differential diagnosis with morphologically testicular lymphoma and classical seminoma. Here we present the clinical presentation, histopathologic features and prognosis of a spermatocytic seminoma case in the light of literature information.
