                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışma, Selânik kentinde Geç Bizans, Venedik ve Osmanlı hâkimiyetleri boyunca siyasi meşruiyetin inşa ve tahkim süreçlerini, geleneksel tarih yazımının aksine zamansal sınırlamalara tabi tutmaksızın, Aktör-Ağ Teorisi (AAT) perspektifiyle karşılaştırmalı olarak incelemektedir. Amaç, iktidarı yalnızca insan aktörlerin iradesine dayanan tek yönlü bir süreç olarak değil, insan ve insan‑olmayan eyleyenlerin (actant) etkileşiminden oluşan çok katmanlı ağların ürünü olarak analiz etmektir. Yöntem olarak, Bruno Latour’un AAT’ye ilişkin beş ilkesi analitik bir araç olarak kullanılmış; yazılı kaynaklar, maddi kültür unsurları ve kentsel mekân verileri birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular, Bizans ve Venedik dönemlerinde kent merkezli actantların işlevlerinin egemen gücün istikrarsızlığıyla değişkenlik gösterdiğini; buna karşılık Osmanlıların fetihten itibaren anıtsal yapılar, vakıflar, tahrir sistemi gibi kurumsal ve maddi ağ unsurlarıyla merkeziyetçi ve asimetrik bir meşruiyet yapısı kurduğunu, dolayısıyla fethin anlık etkisinin uzun ömürlü kendiliklere aktarılarak kalıcı bir otoriteye dönüştürüldüğünü göstermektedir. Çalışmanın temel sonucu, Osmanlı egemenliğinin başarısının “yeni aktörler inşa etmekten” ziyade, mevcut ağları dönüştürerek kendi siyasal projesine tercüme etme kapasitesinde yattığıdır. Selânik, Osmanlı döneminin sona ermesinden sonra dahi Türk kolektif hafızasında tarihsel meşruiyet ve kimlik üretiminin etkin bir düğümü olarak varlığını sürdürmektedir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>Настоящее исследование анализирует процессы формирования и консолидации политической легитимности в городе Фессалоники (Салоники) в периоды поздневизантийского, венецианского и османского владычества через призму сравнительного подхода, основанного на акторно-сетевой теории (АКТ), без наложения жестких хронологических границ. Цель состоит в концептуализации власти не как линейного процесса, формируемого исключительно человеческими акторами, а как продукта многослойных сетей, возникающих в результате взаимодействия человеческих и нечеловеческих актантов (таких как султаны, ремесленники, архитектурные сооружения, вакуфные грамоты, укрепления и товары торговли). Методологически исследование опирается на пять принципов акторно-сетевой теории Бруно Латура в качестве аналитических инструментов и интегрированно оценивает текстовые источники, элементы материальной культуры и данные городского пространства. Результаты свидетельствуют о том, что в византийский и венецианский периоды функции центральных актантов в городе изменялись в зависимости от нестабильности политической власти. Напротив, начиная с момента завоевания османы создали централизованную и асимметричную структуру легитимности, интегрируя монументальные здания, вакуфы и административные системы, такие как дефтеры тахрира. Мгновенное воздействие завоевания было переведено в устойчивые формы власти посредством институтов и инфраструктур; власть конструировалась через гетерогенные инструменты — монументальность камня, экономическую сплоченность шерсти и сдерживающую силу пороха. Исследование приходит к выводу, что успех османского суверенитета заключался не в изобретении совершенно новых акторов, а в реконфигурации существующих сетей и их трансляции в имперский политический проект. Фессалоники (Салоники) и поныне продолжают функционировать как активный узел в турецкой коллективной памяти и производстве идентичности даже после окончания османского владычества.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
                            <p>This study analyzes the processes of construction and consolidation of political legitimacy in the city of Thessaloniki during the periods of Late Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman rule, through a comparative lens informed by Actor-Network Theory (ANT), without imposing rigid chronological boundaries. The aim is to conceptualize power not as a linear process solely shaped by human actors, but as a product of multilayered networks formed through the interaction of human and non-human actants (such as sultans, artisans, architectural structures, waqf charters, fortifications, and commercial goods). Methodologically, the study employs Bruno Latour’s five principles of ANT as analytical tools and evaluates textual sources, material culture elements, and urban spatial data in an integrated manner. Findings indicate that during the Byzantine and Venetian periods, the functions of central actants within the city shifted with the instability of political authority. In contrast, from the moment of conquest, the Ottomans established a centralized and asymmetrical structure of legitimacy by integrating monumental buildings, waqfs, and administrative systems such as the tahrir registers. The fleeting impact of conquest was translated into enduring forms of authority through institutions and infrastructures; power was constructed through heterogeneous tools such as the monumentality of stone, the economic cohesion of wool, and the deterrence of gunpowder. The study concludes that the success of Ottoman sovereignty lay not in inventing entirely new actors, but in reconfiguring existing networks and translating them into the imperial political project. Thessaloniki has continued to function as an active node in Turkish collective memory and identity production, even after the end of Ottoman rule.</p></trans-abstract>
