DİŞHEKİMLİĞİ ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN TRAPEZIUS KASI İLE İLİŞKİLİ VÜCUT BÖLGELERİNDE MESLEĞE BAĞLI AĞRILARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ
Abstract
Diş hekimlerinde boyun, omuz ve sırt ağrısının diğer meslek gruplarından daha fazla ortaya çıktığı gösterilmiştir. Diş hekimliği eğitimi öğrencilerin gittikçe artan düzeyde fiziksel ve zihinsel zorlanmalara maruz kaldıkları uzun ve yorucu bir süreçtir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, İÜ Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi ikinci ve son sınıf öğrencilerinde trapezius kası ile ilişkili vücut bölgelerinde bildirilen ağrı özelliklerinin incelenmesidir. Öğrencilere 23 soruluk bir anket formu uygulanmıştır. Değerlendirme sonucunda, ağrı oranının yüksek olduğu, kız öğrencilerin erkeklerden daha yüksek oranda ağrı bildirdikleri, hem en çok hem de en şiddetli ağrıyan bölgenin boyun bölgesi olduğu, son sınıf öğrencilerinin meslekle ilgili bedensel çalışma sürelerinin 2. sınıflardan yüksek olduğu, son sınıflarda hem ağrı görülme oranının hem de en semptomatik ağrı oranının artmış olduğu bulunmuştur. Kas-iskelet sistemi bozukluklarının tek öncü belirtisi olan "ağrı" mesleğin başlangıcında ortaya çıkması, gelecekteki olası sorunlardan korunmada gereken önlemlerin alınması açısından önemli bir uyarı niteliğindedir.
