Abstract
ÖZET
Çalışmamızda 1984-1991 yıllan arasında Dicle Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Ortodonti Anabilim Dalı Kliniğine başvuran 91 dudak damak yarıklı bebek sınıflandırılmıştır.
Olguların % 9.89'unda primer yarık, % 36.26'smda se-konder yarık ve % 53.85'inde total yarık belirlenmiştir.
Sekonder yarığa sahip olanların % 27.28'inde yumuşak damak yarığı, % 72.72'sinde sert ve yumuşak damak yarığı; total yarığa sahip olanların % 65.31'inde unilateral yarık, % 34.69'unda bilateral yarık; Unilateral total yarığa sahip olan bireylerin % 40.63'ünde sağ, % 59.37'sinde sol dudak damak yarığı belirlenmiştir.

ABSTRACT
In our study, 91 newborns with cleft lip and palate registered to the Department of Orthodontics, Dental Faculty ofDicle University between 1984-1991 were classfi-ed.
The distribution of the cases were as; primary cleft in 9.89 % of the cases, secondary cleft in 36.26 % and total cleft in 53.85 % of the cases.
Soft palate cleft in 27.28 % and soft and hard palate cleft in 72.72 % of the cases with secondary cleft; unilateral cleft in 65.31 % and bilateral cleft in 34.69 % of the cases with total cleft; right unilateral cleft in 40.63 % and left unilateral cleft in 59.37 % of the cases with unilateral total cleft were determined as subgroups.
