BEGG LIGHT WIRE İSKELETSEL VE PROFİL YUMUŞAK DOKU DEĞİŞİKLİKLERİNİN SEFALOMETRİK İNCELEMESİ-CEPHALOMETRIC EVALUATION OF BEGG LIGHT WIRE ON SKELETAL AND PROFILE SOFT TISSUES
Abstract
ÖZET
Begg light-wire tekniği uygulanarak dört premolar çeki-miyle tedavi edilen sınıf 1 anterior çapraşıklığı olan 28 birey benzer özelliklere sahip 28 bireyin tedavi öncesi ve sonunda aynı süreler arasında çekilen toplam 112 lateral sefa-logram üzerinde araştırma yürütülmüştür. Ricketts ve ilgili sefalometrik analizler sonucunda light-wire tedavisiyle iskelet sistemde bireylerin büyüme yönü ile uyumlu olarak bazı etkilerde gözlenmiştir. Yumuşak dokulardaki değişiklikler çekimli tedavinin beklenen sonucu olan profil düzleşmesi tarzındadır.

ABSTRACT
This study is conducted as to evaluate the skeletal and soft tissue changes following Begg Light-wire treatment on initial and final lateral cephalograms of 28 class 1 anterior crowding individuals whose four bicuspids are extracted. A similar control group also consisted of equal number of male and female individuals and lateral cephalograms are obtained within the pertinent cephalometric analysis indicated significant skeletal changes in line with the direction of facial growth. Soft tissue profile changes is found to be as anticipated as straightining of the profile which is a known outcome of extraction treatment.
